The Cinéma Palace in Brussels and the European Film Factory are proud to organise a masterclass held on the film Rosetta (1999) with Luc & Jean-Pierre Dardenne.
Film directors Luc & Jean-Pierre Dardenne will discuss the film with students. The film is available on the European Film Factory platform. This masterclass is a great opportunity for students to study a fine example of European social cinema awarded by the Palme d’or at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival.
The masterclass will take place on March 16 at 11:45 CET at the Cinema Palace and will be streamed live (Zoom Webinar). Online students will have the possibility to ask questions to the directors in the chat.
The discussion will be held in French with simultaneous translation in English available and will be recorded. It will last approx. 45 minutes.
Every day, Rosetta fights for the job that she finds, loses, finds again - the job that is taken away from her and that she takes back - obsessed by the fear of disappearing, by the shame of not belonging. Rosetta wants a normal life, with others, among others.
