| EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK at Urban Mobility Days 2025 |
EUROPEAN MOBILITYWEEK took part in Urban Mobility Days 2025 (Vilnius, 30 September - 2 October), which gathered 800 policymakers, planners and mobility experts to exchange on key European urban mobility policy issues. During the opening plenary, Magda Kopczyńska, Director-General for Mobility and Transport at the European Commission, shared the EUROPEAN MOBILITYWEEK video clip on this year’s theme ‘Mobility for Everyone’, highlighting the goal of making sustainable mobility options available, accessible, affordable, inclusive, and safe for all. The European Commission's progress report on the European Declaration on Cycling was presented during the cycling plenary session on “unlocking the potential of urban cycling: from policy to practice”. The #BikesForUkraine campaign was also featured, with Co-Coordinator Anastasiia Makarenko calling for continued support and requesting more bicycles, as reliable mobility options in war-affected areas. | Reflecting on the 2025 campaign theme: Mobility for Everyone |
This year, EUROPEAN MOBILITYWEEK highlighted the barriers many people still face in accessing affordable, reliable transport. This is known as transport poverty, which can limit access to work, education and essential services. The campaign was launched with a video message from Apostolos Tzitzikostas, European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, alongside the main campaign video on inclusive mobility. Through inspiring stories and local initiatives, participants demonstrated how Mobility for Everyone can help empower individuals and strengthen communities across Europe. As the campaign wraps up, we say goodbye to this year’s theme and look ahead to 2026 To revisit the topic, read the 2025 Fact Sheet, here. |

| MOBILITYACTION in the Spotlight: The Slow City Game (Spain) brings sustainable urban mobility to the table |
What if learning about safer, more sustainable streets could be turned into a game? That’s the idea behind Slow City Game, a creative, cooperative board game developed in Spain to help children and teenagers explore road safety and sustainable mobility in an engaging way. Originally designed by students from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), the game has since been adapted by the association P(A)T as an educational tool. The game uses real-life challenges to spark meaningful conversations about relevant topics such as accessibility, the use of public spaces and shared responsibility for safer mobility. During EUROPEAN MOBILITYWEEK 2025, the game was successfully rolled out in several schools across Spain. Read more about this “ MOBILITYACTION in the Spotlight”, here. |
