Discussing Diversity & Discrimination – the new short online course by Teacher Academy

How to engage students and encourage critical thinking when it comes to inclusivity and diversity?

Helping educators and empowering young people to address the many forms of discrimination is vital, especially when the term ‘discrimination’ itself may mean different things to different people. Join this new course to learn to create a safe space for an open exchange of ideas, engage students in complex and sensitive conversations, and encourage critical thinking.

The course is designed by the Anne Frank House. You can follow it at your own pace: it starts on Monday 19 April, with an estimated workload of 1 hour per day x 10 days = 10 hours in total.

Survey on everyday life skills

How can we prepare young people to cope with the demands of day-to-day life?

Learning throughout life is an active process of great importance in the 21st century. However, does the same hold for learning about life? Cooking, budgeting, managing time or staying healthy are what we can call “everyday” skills, and many young people may not be given the opportunity to practise them.

Should the school be involved? Are these skills already adequately covered in curricula?

Fill in this short, multilingual survey - your views can help to inform school leaders, authorities and ministries. The survey is open until 9 May and available in 29 languages. The results will be published on our website.
