Share your opinion on innovation and entrepreneurship competences Innovation and entrepreneurship competences are essential skills for thriving in today’s world. How can teachers help in their development and what type of support do they need? We have two webinars coming up, on Environmental Literacy and on Social and Emotional Education Save the dates and register now! Join our webinar on Environmental literacy – Making education visible on 28 March at 16:00 CEST with Dr Pramod Kumar Sharma, Senior Director of Education with the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). Social and emotional competences are key 21st-century skills, especially when it comes to career development and active citizenship, but also for the well-being and mental health. Learn more at the upcoming European Toolkit for Schools webinar on social and emotional education on Friday, 1 April, at 16:00 CEST. We have three new videos for you! Take a couple of minutes to travel around Europe through our videos! First stop is Belgium, to visit Ket & Co in Molenbeek and discover from the words of pupils and teachers how the after-school Debateville activities help bring the community into the school. Then travel to Sweden in this European Toolkit for Schools video and discover how storytelling can help develop creative and critical thinking. Last stop: Romania! Visit School Nº17 Botosani and learn how they ensure the well-being of pupils and teachers in many creative ways. Follow the Digital Education Stakeholder Forum online on 22 March, organised by the European Commission The event will take place in an online format and will demonstrate the EU’s will and commitment to advance a people-focused digital transformation in education and training in Europe, and discuss its implementation at European, national and regional level. The Forum will discuss a variety of topics such as key enablers for successful digital transformation in education and training, the importance of digital skills and competences, and the need for further cooperation and exchange in digital education. More information on the event including draft agenda can be found on the Digital Education Stakeholder Forum webpage. European School Education Platform is coming – get ready by obtaining an EU Login account! In 2022, the School Education Gateway and eTwinning platforms will undergo a substantial revamp which will result in the single integrated European School Education Platform. The new platform, upon its launch, will rely on EU Login, which is the European Commission's user authentication service that delivers you Single Sign-On (SSO) to all EC platforms, portals, and IT services. To continue benefitting from all the services and functionalities as a registered user and to synchronise your data between the new and the current platform, you need to have an EU Login account, using the same email address as within your current account. Find out here how to do it!

DECEMBER: MEDIA LITERACY Updating our media literacy teaching has never been so urgent, but how? Browse through 12 projects that help teachers deal with this topic. If you want to learn more, we have a tutorial for you, which features many tools and resources to learn more about disinformation, fake news, misinformation, and an interview, tackling media literacy and what schools and policymakers can do to promote it. JANUARY: YOUNG CITIZENS IN ACTION 2022 is the European Year of Youth. By putting young people in the spotlight this year, Europe hopes to create a long-lasting impact, meaningfully involving them in the society, especially when it comes to active citizenship, decision-making and democratic participation. Read about seven examples on how this can be achieved.
